Hinweis This can e. g. be the case if:
• the unit has visible damage,
• fluid has gotten into the device,
• the device is no longer working,
• the device has been stored for an extended period of time under unfavorable
conditions or
after significant moving or transportation stresses.
9.2 INFICON Service
If equipment is returned to INFICON, indicate whether the equipment is free of subs-
tances damaging on health or whether it is contaminated. If it is contaminated also
indicate the nature of the hazard. For this you must use a Declaration of Contami-
nation form Fig. 1-1 which has been prepared by us which we will provide upon
request or you may copy the form which has been reproduced on the next to the last
page of this handbook.
Please attach this form to the equipment or enclose it with the equipment.
This Declaration of Contamination is required to meet German Law and to protect our
personnel. INFICON must return any equipment without a Declaration of Contami-
nation to the sender’s address.
9.3 Key for Maintenance Schedule
Presumed Risk:
If it is to be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible, the device is to be
taken out of service and secured against unsupervised operation.
Oil can damage the environnement. Therefore dispose the oil according to the local
environnement prescriptions.
