Onboard Audio Subsystem
The onboard audio subsystem supports bot h I ntel HD Audio and AC ’97 Audio. The
subsyst em is based on t he following com ponent s:
• I ntel NM10 Express Chipset
• RealTek ALC662 audio codec
The subsyst em includes the following headers and connect ors:
• Three back panel analog audio jacks
• Back panel S/ PDI F digital audio output connect or ( optical)
• Back panel HDMI connect or
• Front panel audio header ( support s bot h Intel HD Audio and AC ’97 Audio) ,
including functionalit y for:
 Line out ( headphones/ speaker)
 Microphone in
The board supports 2- channel audio out put from the back panel analog ports wit h j ack
det ect ion as indicated in Table 3. The front/ back panel audio connect ors are
configurable t hrough the audio device driver control panel.
