Installation Precautions
When you install and test the I ntel Deskt op Board, observe all warnings and cautions
in the inst allation instructions.
To avoid inj ury, be careful of:
• Sharp pins on connect ors or headers
• Sharp pins on printed circuit assem blies
• Rough edges and sharp corners on t he chassis
• Hot com ponent s (such as volt age regulat ors and heat sinks)
• Dam age t o wires that could cause a short circuit
Observe all warnings and caut ions t hat inst ruct you t o refer com put er servicing t o
qualified technical personnel.
Prevent Power Supply Overload
Do not overload the power supply out put. To avoid ov erloading the power supply,
m ake sure that the calculat ed t ot al current loads of all the m odules wit hin t he
com puter is less than the output current rat ing of the power supply.
Observe Safety and Regulatory Requirements
Read and adhere to t he inst ructions in t his sect ion and t he inst ructions supplied with
the chassis and associated m odules. If you do not follow t hese inst ructions and the
inst ruct ions provided by chassis and m odule suppliers, you increase safet y risk and the
possibilit y of noncom pliance wit h regional laws and regulations.
