Workstation Board W2600CR offers one front panel IEEE 1394b port from a discrete
controller (Texas Instruments XIO2221).The XIO2221 uses a PCIe x1 Gen 1 upstream interface
from Intel
®
C600-A chipset. When connected to 1394b compliant devices, the XIO2221 can
transfer data at speeds of up to 800 Mbps. The Intel
®
Workstation Board W2600CR includes an
internal 1394b connector that allows for a front panel 1394b cable attach.
