6.4 Cleaning the OWA probe tip
To secure correct measurements, it is important to make sure that the probe system is always kept clean.
Therefore, please follow the below illustrated instructions on how to remove e.g., cerumen f rom the small
acoustic channels of probe tip.
Use the Tho rnton Bridge & Implant Floss or the Thornton 3 in 1 Floss
for cleaning.
Discard used f loss after use.
Never clean the probe tip while the tip is still attached to the probe
body.
Unscrew the probe cap by turning it in a counterclockwise direction
and remove the probe tip from the probe body.
Thread the cleaning floss into one of the channels f rom the base of
the probe tip.
Pull the cleaning floss completely through the probe tip channel.
Repeat for each channel if required.
