17. ENGINE OIL FILTER
IMPORTANT:
The engine oil filter should be replaced after the initial
50 hours of operation and then after every 400 hours
of operation.
It is recommended to ask your dealer to replace the
engine oil filter, because this operation requires a
special tool. But when there is no alternative but to
replace the filter by yourself, observe the following
instructions.
The engine oil filter,1, is located on the left-hand wall of
the cylinder block.
a. Drain engine oil completely following the instructions
of "16. ENGINE OIL REPLACEMENT."
b. Place a tray or like under the engine oil filter to
receive dripping oil when the filter is replaced.
c. Loosen the filter using a filter wrench and remove it.
d. Install a new filter with the O-ring lubricated with
new engine oil. Screw in the filter until its packing
comes into contact with the sealing surface of the
engine and then tighten it by a 2/3 turn with the filter
wrench.
e. Pour oil in referring to "16. ENGINE OIL
REPLACEMENT."
18. TRANSMISSION OIL REPLACEMENT
IMPORTANT:
The transmission oil should be replaced after the
initial 50 hours of operation and then after every 300
hours of operation.
It is recommended to ask your dealer to replace the
transmission oil, because this operation also requires
washing or replacement of the suction filter. But when
there is no alternative but to replace the filter by
yourself, observe the following instructions.
