iSTAR Edge G2 Controller Installation and Configuration Guide 63
Chapter 7 - Using the iSTAR Configuration Utility
Using the ICU
The ICU broadcasts a query across the subnet to controllers, requesting their configuration information. Powered controllers
send configuration information back to the ICU, which then displays the information in the ICU window.
Initial Controller Discovery
The ICU window displays a list of controllers connected to the subnet.
• Click on the E2 button on the ICU toolbar window to view a new window listing connected iSTAR Edge G2 controllers.
• The iSTAR identification bar, located at the top of the ICU window, displays the following information when a controller
is selected in the window:
— Name assigned to the controller.
— iSTAR Controller type (except iSTAR Edge G2).
NOTE
Remember to click the E2 button on the ICU window toolbar to open a separate window to view iSTAR Edge G2 controllers along with
their identification information.
The ICU iSTAR Edge G2 window is updated whenever a controller connection status changes. Use the Refresh button on the
toolbar to refresh the window for the latest connection information.
For more information on how to use the ICU, see the
iSTAR Configuration Utility User Guide
