3. Click the pencil icon in the top-right of the screen to open the editing mode.
For master panels:
• Check the Master Controller checkbox to define the panel as a master.
• Specify the IP address of the host in the Host Address field.
• Specify the IP address of the master (DHCP is recommended).
• Define the host IP address or the FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name) with which the master will communicate.
For member panels:
• Ensure the Master Controller checkbox is not checked.
• Specify the IP address of the master panel in the Master Address field.
• Specify the IP address of the host in the Host Address field.
• Specify the IP address of the master (DHCP is recommended).
4. Use the C•CURE Administration application to configure:
• Master and member names.
• Master and member IP and MAC addresses (Hardware Pane) to configure cluster and download cluster information
across the network.
5. During the download, the following occurs:
• Master establishes a connection with the C•CURE host.
• C•CURE Host downloads member address information.
• Members beacon a "request for service" message across the subnet.
• Master matches the "request for service" message with the member address information and downloads its own IP
address.
• Members establish connection with the master.
Configuring a Controller
1. Open the iSTAR Web Page and select Configuration. The General tab of the Configuration page is displayed.
2. Under the General tab, enter information into the fields described in Table 21.

Field Description
Set Network Mode
IPv6 checkbox
Check this to enable IPv6 network mode.
NOTE: IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, and DNS Server field are disabled if IPv6 mode is selected.
DUID-Type Select DHCP Unique Identifier type. This is only available when using DHCP.
Master Controller
checkbox
Check the checkbox when this controller is the master. The controller is a member if this checkbox is unchecked.
Master Address Enter the master controller address if configuring a member panel. This option is not displayed if the Master Controller
checkbox is checked.
