Features and Functions 2
Multimeter Reset
The reset function resets most multimeter settings to their factory settings, except if the
power–on state has been manually set to a stored state (see “Multimeter State
Storage” on page 49). The reset function is faster than cycling power because the
power–on self tests are omitted.
• Certain settings such as I/O addresses are stored in non–volatile memory, and are not
affected by a reset.
• Refer to “Power-On and Reset State” on page 87 for a complete listing of the
settings affected by a (front panel or remote interface) reset command.
• Front Panel Operation: To reset the multimeter, press
. RESET
DMM is displayed, along with the options NO (default) and YES. Select YES to reset
the multimeter.
• Remote Interface Operation: The following commands reset the multimeter to the
instrument reset state:
SYSTem:PRESet
*RST
Refer to the Keysight 34410A/11A/L4411A Programmer’s Reference Help for
a complete description and syntax for these commands.
