Remote Interface Configuration 3
Instrument Unexpectedly Goes into Remote
If your 34410A/11A unexpectedly goes into remote mode, it is likely because you have
the instrument configured to the LAN on someone else’s host controller. Operations on
that host controller can query your instrument causing it to go into remote mode. To
prevent this, do any of the following:
• Disconnect the instrument from the LAN.
• Disable the LAN interface from the front panel (Utility menu).
• Use SYST:COMM:LAN:HISTory? to determine the IP address that is causing the
problem. Then delete your instrument’s LAN address from that host controller.
