The dowser (arrow) opens or closes the
path of xenon light to the lm gate.

If the dowser does not close while the
projector is stopped the lm will burn.
 
Single aperture plates are available
for 35 mm (CS, NS, WS) and for
70 mm
• Push the desired aperture plate
from the top of the lm gate and
behind the lm runner strips into
the slit (arrow) until the stop is
reached.
