6.7.1 Auto range
Range
Displays an entire sonar echo of varying
depth by automatically phasing the sounding
range. The image is referenced to the surface
of the sea as shown in Figure 6.16.
Selections: OFF, ON
Initial setting: OFF

6.7.2 Auto shift
Displays a seabed echo of varying depth within the screen. When the seabed depth becomes
shallower than 40% or, deeper than 90% of the full depth scale, the entire image will be reset to 65%
of the scale, keeping the seabed echo always shown within the screen.

6.8 System
6.8.1 Time
Adjusts the time of the internal clock. In case the RMC sentence of NMEA 0183 is supplied from a
navigation receiver, current time is automatically displayed without the need of settings.
Setting items: Year, Month, Day, Hour, Min, and Sec.
Initial setting: 2001/01/01 00:00:00
NOTE: CVS-843 has no Year, Month, Day, a Day of the Week displays.
6.8.2 Depth unit
Selects the depth unit of measure from the following options:
Selections: m, fm, J.fm, l.fm, ft
