Recording Track (RecTrk)
TheRecTrkparameterdetermineswhichtrackisrecordenabled.Settherecordenabledtrackto
Multtorecordmorethanonechannelsimultaneously.
WhenRecTrkissettoasingletrack(116),Record(R)isdisplayedforthattrackintheTrack
StatusIndicatorregion(abovetheTrackand
Channelsregion).Conversely,withoneexception,
whenanytrack’sStatusIndicatorischangedtoRecord(R),thattrackisshownasthevaluefor
theRecTrkparameter.
TheexceptioniswhenRecTrkisalreadysettoMult,youcanselecttherecordenabledtracksby
togglingtheTrackStatusIndicatorto
Record(R),andtheRecTrkwillremainsettoMult.
WhenMultisinitiallyselected,alloftheemptytrackswillberecordenabled.Trackscontaining
datawillremainsettoplay(P),butyoucanmanuallysetthemtorecord(R).
Theparameter(s)belowRecTrkchangeaccordingtothevalue
ofRecTrk.IfRecTrkissettoa
singletrack(1–16),Progisdisplayedandyoucanselecttheprogramtobeassignedtothattrack.
Ifyouswitchthroughthechannels,theprogramalsochanges,showingtheprogramcurrently
assignedtothatchannel.
IfyouchangeRecTrktoNone
orMulti,thedisplaychangestoshowTrk:#.Thisfieldindicates
whichtrackiscurrentlybeingtriggeredbythekeyboard,andyoucanusethisTrk:#fieldto
selectatrack.
Program (Prog)
Usethisfieldtoscrollthroughtheprogramsinmemoryandselectaprogrambeforeinitially
recordingeachtrackofyoursong.AprogramselectedonthecurrentRecTrkbecomesthe
track’sinitialprogramthefirsttimethatthetrackisrecorded.Aninitialprogramistheprogram
thatwillbe
usedforatrackwhenitisplayedfromthestartofbar1(oranyotherpointifthere
arenoprogramchangesandControlChaseisturnedon,seeControlChase on page 1017.)
ProgramsselectedinProgramorQuickAccessModeareselectedastheprogramonthecurrent
RecTrkwhenyoureturntoSongmode.
FollowthesestepstochangethecurrentRecTrk’sinitialprogramafterrecordinghastakenplace
onthattrack.Whilethesequencerisstopped,pressRecord,selecttheprogram,pressStop,and
savethesong.Thispreservesallchangesyouhavemadeto
anyothertrackparameters:volume,
pan,tempo,etc.Youcanalsochangetheinitialprogramatthetopofatrack’sEVENTlist(see
SongEditor:TheEVENTPage on page 1031.)
AnyMIDIprogramchangesonthecurrentRecTrk orChancausetheIDandnameofthetrack’s
programtochange
duringplayback.Programchangescanbewrittentotheeventlistofthe
currentRecTrkbychangingthe Progparameterwhilerecording.Ifaprogramchangetakes
place,theprogramwillonlyreturntotheinitialprogramiftriggeredbyanotherprogram
change,orifthesequencerisstoppedand
restartedfromthebeginningofthesequence.One
exceptiontothisiswhenusingtheControlChasefeature,youwouldonlyneedtorestartthe
sequencebeforethefirstprogramchangeinordertoreturntotheinitialprogram(seeControl
Chase on page 1017.)
ProgchangestoTrk:#ifRecTrkisset
toNoneorMult.Thisfieldindica teswhichtrackis
currentlybeingtriggeredbythekeyboard,andyoucanusethi sTrk:#fieldtoselectatrack.
Track Number (Trk:#)
ThisparameterisavailableonlywhenRecTrkissettoNoneorMult(replacingtheProg
parameter.)Itindicateswhichtrackiscurrentlybeingtriggeredbythekey board,andyoucan
usethisfieldtoselectatrack.
