Setting the black line cleaning indication
Description
Sets whether to display the cleaning guidance when detecting the black line.
Purpose
Displays the cleaning guidance in order to make the call for service with the black line decrease by the rubbish
on the platen when scanning from the DP.
Setting
1. Press the start key.
2. Select ON or OFF.
Initial setting: ON
3. Press the start key. The setting is set.
Setting the count value
1. Enter a count using the cursor up/down keys.
Setting range: 0 to 999
Initial setting: 8
When setting is 0, the black line cleaning indication is displayed only if the black line is detected.
2. Press the start key. The count is set.
Completion
Press the stop/clear key. The screen for selecting a maintenance item No. is displayed.

Setting the size conversion factor
Description
Sets the coefficient of nonstandard sizes in relation to the A4/11" x 8
1/2" size. The coefficient set here is used
to convert the black ratio in relation to the A4/11" x 8 1/2" size and to display the result in user simulation.
Purpose
To set the coefficient for converting the black ratio for nonstandard sizes in relation to the A4/11" x 8
1/2" size
for copying printing and fax respectively.
Setting
1. Press the start key.
2. Select copying (COPY), printing (PRT) or fax (FAX).
3. Change the setting using the cursor up/down keys.
4. Press the start key. The setting is set.
Completion
Press the stop/clear key. The screen for selecting a maintenance item No. is displayed.
