Lawn-Boy M Series User Manual

Disconnect yellow and blue wire(s) elec-
tric start models only, from switch. Connect
ohmmeter (RX-1 scale) or continuity light to
single or lower terminal and chassis ground and
check continuity.
SPECIFICATION
Lower Terminal
Blade Control Bail Released
Continuity
Blade Control Bail Engaged (Pulled Back)
No Continuity
If both conditions are not met, clean or replace
brake and switch assembly.
Check flywheel brake cable for proper adjust-
ment and free movement. Refer to Section
9.
Retest for proper operation.
Electric Start Model: Connect ohmmeter
(RX-1 scale) or continuity light to upper ter-
minal and chassis ground and check conti-
nuity.
SPECIFICATION
Upper Terminal
Blade Control Bail Released
No Continuity
Blade Control Bail Engaged (Pulled Back)
Continuity
If all conditions above are not met, clean or
replace brake and switch assembly.
Retest for proper operation.
