The correct slit diaphragm is configured and the polarizer
is automatically swung inwards on the motorized con-
denser.

and the polarizer.
Note:
The position of the polarizer influences the appearance of
the relief. The best relief images are obtained in the extinc-
tion position; the relief disappears at a 90° position.

pends on the specimen being observed.
