7.24 Replace the Teat Cup Liners
1. Take the milking robot out of operation with the X-link (page 6-5).
2. Move the Robot Arm to the Service Position.
3. Select:
- Tab [
Test]
- [Mothership]
- [Cups].
4. In the field Tilt cups, select:
- LF [
Straight]
- LR [
Straight]
- RF [
Straight]
- RR [
Straight].
5. In the field Cord cups, select:
- LF [
Loose]
- LR [
Loose]
- RF [
Loose]
- RR [
Loose].
6. Turn the teat cups counter-clockwise until they can be removed.
7. Make sure the milk collectors are clean.
8. If necessary, clean the milk collectors.
9. Remove the liners from the teat cups by pulling from the upper side.
10. Make sure the milk cups are clean.
11. If necessary, clean the milk cups with water and then dry them.
12. Install the new liners in the teat cups.
13. Align the mark on the liner (1) with the notch in the teat cup (2).
14. Use the special tool to push the liner into the milk cup.
15. Make sure the bottom of the liner (3) engages correctly into the bottom of the teat cup (4).
16. Make sure the liner is straight in the teat cup.
17. Examine the rubber O-ring of the teat cup for damage.
18. If necessary, install a new O-ring.
19. Lubricate the thread and rubber seals of the teat cups with vaseline.
