• On the third line:
- The status is:
'Astri
®
-L' or 'Astri
®
-cid' or 'Astri

-lin'..
CAUTION
Cleaning with a cleaning agent (Astri®-L) at a temperature of more than 40 °C
(104 °F) may cause equipment damage.
The teat cup tops are cleaned and the installation is rinsed with cold or lukewarm water (and Astri®-L cleaning
agent, if necessary). During this cleaning the air bleed holes in the teat cup are rinsed as well. At the end of the
rinsing, the long milk tubes are sucked empty one by one. The water is discharged via the milking robot
discharge system.
Milkline Rinsing
During a short rinse of the milkline, the following messages are displayed on the Tab [
Process] in the frame:
Cleaning
• On the first line:
- The status is: 'Cluster cleaning'
• On the second line:
- The status is: 'Milk cup flush'
- The status is: 'Blow empty milk'
- The status is: 'Robot milk line rinse'
- The status is: 'Blow empty water'
- The status is: 'Dry milk line'
• On the third line:

Short rinse of the milkline is almost identical to short rinsing, except that the delivery line to the tank is rinsed as
well.
If there are several milking robots connected to one milk delivery line, the rinsing of all the milklines of the
different robots starts simultaneously.
Preparation Main Cleaning
Before the main cleaning can be done, the main cleaning must be prepared. In this case, the following
messages are displayed on the Tab [
Process] in the frame Cleaning:
• On the first line:
- The status is: 'Preparing Astri®-lin' or 'Preparing Astri®-cid'.
• On the second line:
- The status is: 'Milk cup flush'
- The status is: 'Empty boiler'
- The status is: 'Robot rinse'
- The status is: 'Dry milk line'.
• On the third line:
- The status is:
'Astri

-L' or 'Astri

After the boiler is empty, the boiler is filled with water. This water is heated to boiling point and then the robot is
ready for the main cleaning.
