7.20 Measure the Temperature of the Hot Cleaning Water
1. Install a thermometer at the end of the milk delivery line (near the milk tank) where the water goes into the
sewer.
2. Do a hot cleaning of the system.
3. Make sure the temperature of the cleaning water is not less than 77 ºC (170 ºF) for a minimum of 2 minutes
during the hot cleaning.
4. When the hot cleaning is complete, remove the thermometer.
