4.2 Component Description
4.2.1 Frame and Fencing
The concentrate feeder has the following frames and fences:
• Front portal.
• Rear portal.
• Side fence (2×).
• M-box.
The two side fences are connected to the front and the rear portal.
When the cow visits the concentrate feeder the M-box is lowered behind
her to prevent her from being hindered by other cows while eating.
4.2.2 Feed Unit
The feed unit has the following parts:
• Hopper
• Dosing unit
• Feed bin
