• It is recommended that you install level switches in the feed funnels to
control the tube feeder system to ensure that the feed funnels stay
full.
• Make sure the tube feeder(s) do not apply any additional weight to
the dosing units.
If the feed bin is empty the feed intake will decrease, which can
decrease milk production of the cows.
5.2.2.2 Install the Air Compressor
This section only applies when an air compressor is not installed.
1. Refer to the manual of the air compressor and install the compressor
in the compressor room.
2. Connect the pneumatic hose to the compressor.
5.2.3 Preparation by Lely
Make sure the owner is familiar with the T4C software.
5.2.3.1 Position of the Concentrate Feeder
General Rules and Recommendations
The correct position of the concentrate feeder will depend on the
operational management of the farm. Analyze the operational
requirements of the farm before you install the concentrate feeder. This
will make sure the concentrate feeder is installed in the correct position.
Please contact your Lely service provider for help with your specific
requirements.
• The concentrate feeder must be installed on a solid, and correctly
constructed foundation.
• The cows should have easy access to the concentrate feeder.
• Cows must not be able to lay down in the exit route from the
concentrate feeder.
