KEY:

5.4.2 Connect the Qwes Reader Cable
1. Find the cable to the Qwes reader (see page 5-24).
2. Route the Qwes reader cable into the control box.
3. Remove approximately 7 cm (2.8 in) from the outer insulation with a
wire stripper.
4. Remove approximately 6 cm (2.4 in) from the shielding.
5. Turn the shielding back.
6. Remove approximately 1 cm (0.4 in) from the inner insulation with a
wire stripper.
Qwes ISO neck reader
1. Remove the bolts and the clamp from the FSK pcb (3) (see figure 40 on
page 5-32).
2. Install the cable connector on the pcb with the bolt.
3. Install the cable with the clamp and the two bolts on the pcb.
4. Make sure the clamp and the shielding are connected.
Qwes ISO leg reader
1. Insulate the wire shielding with a piece of heat shrink.
2. Connect the wire shielding to the - antenna connector (16) on the
Velos box.
