2 MOUNTING BEHIND THE TRACTOR
The swivel gearbox (fig. 3) on the tractor side of the draw bar
can be driven by a PTO speed of 540 or 1,000 r.p.m. Rotation
speeds can be changed by simply reversing the gearbox – this
procedure is explained in supplement B.
- Make sure that the r.p.m. rate shown at the front of the
gearbox matches the PTO speed you are going to use.
- Adjust the tractor lever arms at equal height.
- Fit the lever arms to the linkage pins (Cat. II) of the
headstock.
- Lift the headstock so far that the position of the drawbar is
horizontal.
- Pull up the parking jack (fig. 3).
- Secure the tractor lever arms by means of stabilisation
chains or rods keeping the machine from making sideward
movements.
- Check if the PTO shaft telescopes smoothly.
- Fit the PTO shaft to the tractor PTO shaft.
At first assembly or use of another tractor: check the
minimum and maximum overlap of the PTO halves*.
• Fit the safety chain of the protection tube to a rigid part
of the tractor.
- Connect the two hydraulic hoses of the ram for drawbar
adjustment to a double acting hydraulic spool valve on the
tractor.
- Connect the hydraulic hose for lifting the machine to a
single acting hydraulic spool valve that has a floating
position.
- Put the plug of the lighting cable in the tracor socket
and check the lighting for correct operation.
