3 TRANSPORT
The SPLENDIMO PC mower can be transported behind the
tractor.
Put the machine into the transport position as follows:
- Lift the entire mower-conditioner by means of the lift ram
and both wheel rams (fig. 4).
- Place the draw bar in the transport position (fig. 5).
281 / 3321 PC: draw bar ram totally drawn-in;
320 PC: draw bar in the central position.
- Block the effect of all rams by closing the ram valves
(fig. 4).
- Fold both safety covers on either side of the machine.
Proceed as follows to ensure a transport width of 3,00 or
3,10 m* for the SPLENDIMO 320 and 321PC models. By
proceeding like this, the transport width of the SPLENDIMO
281 PC model will be 2,70 or 2,80 m*:
- Remove the safety shields from the machine and place
them at the front of the main chassis (fig. 6).
- Turn the outer mowing disc at right angles to the cutter bar
(only for models 320 and 321 PC, see fig. 6).
- Use all such lighting and warning signals as are man-
datory by law (or other regulations prescribed by the
authorities).
- For transport on public roads: make sure that the front
axle weight is sufficient (fit front weights, if necessary)
and that the rear axle weight allowed as a maximum is
not needed.
The machine is now ready for transport.
Never allow the PTO shaft to rotate when the machine is
in the transport position.
