4.2Conditioning intensity
The intensity of conditioning can be adjusted by means of the
conditioner ’s crop inlet plate and the position of the condi-
tioning rotor.
- Adjust the crop inlet plate by turning the spindle (fig. 10).
Utmost turned to the right ensures the highest intensity of
conditioning, utmost turned to the left the lowest.
- Lock the spindle by means of the elastic band.
If the adjustment possibilities of the conditioner crop inlet
plate do not allow sufficient crop flow-through, the position
of the conditioner rotor may be adjusted. Please refer to
supplement B for the details.
4.3Ground pressure
The cutter bar ’s ground pressure is determined by the pre-set
tension of the four draw springs
If the cutter bar tends to float during work, without following
ground contours properly, the pre-set tension of the draw
spring needs to be decreased.
- Adjust ground pressure by turning the threaded rods
(fig. 9).
Turning the rods to the right until the end ensures the
highest tension (= lowest ground pressure), whereas the
lowest tension (= highest ground pressure) is obtained by
turning the rods entirely to the end of the thread.
Adjust the pre-tension in such a way that the machine is
lifted horizontally, which ensures an equal distribution of
pressure over the full cutter bar.
- Secure the ground pressure adjustment by means of the
securing nut.
4.4Swath width
Swath width of the SPLENDIMO 281 PC mower is adjustable
from 1,2 up to 1,8 m; for the 320 and 321 PC models it can be
varied between 1,3 and 2,2 m.
- Use the adjusting device (fig. 12) to obtain the required
opening of the swath board. Then lock the adjusting device.
