4 MACHINE ADJUSTMENTS
Put the machine into the working position as follows:
- Fit the two safety shields to the sides of the machine
(fig. 7).
- Fold down the safety covers on either side (fig. 7).
- Unblock the effect of the rams by opening the ram valves.
- Place the machine in the required working position by
means of the draw bar ram (fig. 8).
The draw bars of the SPLENDIMO 281 and 321 PC models
offer three positions for the linkage of the draw bar ram
( , and , fig. 8). These allow adjustment of the mower
position next to the tractor. Select such a position that the
tractor tyres do not drive across the mown swaths.
- Lower the machine by placing the valve for the lift ram and
wheel rams in the float position.
- Ensure the horizontal position of the drawbar by means of
the tractor hydraulics. Take tractor wheeling into account.
- Limit a downward movement with, for instance, a stabili-
sation chain if it is impossible to keep the hydraulics at the
pre-set height.
The machine is now ready for operating.
4.1Mowing height
- Adjust the mowing height by adjusting the forward incli-
nation of the cutter bar by means of the top link (fig. 9).
- Lock the top link by means of the bracket.
