Reinstallingpreinstalledprograms
ToreinstallprogramspreinstalledonyourLenovocomputer,dothefollowing:
1.Turnonthecomputer.
2.GotoC:\SWTOOLS.
3.Opentheappsfolderandlocatethesubfolderthatisnamedaftertheprogrampreinstalledonyour
computer.
4.OpenthesubfolderandlocatetheEXEfile.
5.Double-clicktheEXEfileandfollowtheinstructionsonthescreentocompletetheinstallation.
Reinstallingpreinstalleddevicedrivers
Attention:Reinstallingdevicedriverswillchangethecurrentconfigurationofyourcomputer.Reinstall
devicedriversonlywhenitisnecessarytosolveaproblemonyourcomputer.
Toreinstallthedevicedriverforafactory-installeddevice,dothefollowing:
1.Turnonthecomputer.
2.GotoC:\SWTOOLS.
3.OpentheDRIVERSfolderandlocatethesubfolderthatisnamedafterthefactory-installeddevicein
yourcomputer,suchasAUDIOorVIDEO.
4.Openthesubfolder.
5.Dooneofthefollowing:
•LocatetheEXEfile.Double-clicktheEXEfileandfollowtheinstructionsonthescreentocomplete
theinstallation.
•Locatethereadmefilewiththe.txtextension.Thedevicedriverinstallationinformationisincludedin
thereadmefile.Followtheinstructionstocompletetheinstallation.
•IfthedevicesubfoldercontainsanINFfileandyouwanttoinstallthedevicedriverusingtheINFfile,
seetheWindowsHelpandSupportinformationsystemfordetailedinformation.

Reinstallingprogramsthatarenotpreinstalled
Ifasoftwareprogramyouinstalledonyourcomputerisnotworkingcorrectly,youmightneedtouninstall
andthenreinstallit.Reinstallingaprogramoverwritestheexistingprogramfilesandusuallyfixesany
problemsthatyoumighthavehadwiththeprogram.
Touninstallaprogramfromyoursystem,refertotheMicrosoftWindowshelpsystem.
Toreinstallmostcommerciallyavailableprogramsonyoursystem,refertotheMicrosoftWindowshelp
systemtogetherwiththedocumentationprovidedwiththeprogram.
