Solutions:
•IfyouareusingIEEE-approvedprintersignalcables,dothefollowing:
1.Connecttheprintersignalcablefirmlytothecorrectparallel,serial,orUSBconnectoronthe
computer.
2.Loadthepapercorrectly.
3.Turnontheprinterandkeeptheprinteronline.
•Ifyouareusingnon-IEEE-approvedprintersignalcables,dothefollowing:
1.Correctlyinstalldevicedriversandsoftwarethatcomewiththeprinter.
2.Assigntheprinterportcorrectlyinyouroperatingsystem,applicationprogram,orBIOSsettings.For

•Connecttheserialcabletotheserialconnectoronthecomputerandtotheserialdevice.Iftheserial
devicehasitsownpowercord,attachthepowercordtoagroundedelectricaloutlet.
•Turnontheserialdeviceandkeepthedeviceonline.
•Installanyapplicationprogramssuppliedwiththeserialdevice.Refertothedocumentationthatcomes
withtheserialdeviceformoreinformation.
•Ifyouaddedoneserial-connectoradapter,installtheadaptercorrectly.
