2.FromtheSetupUtilityprogrammainmenu,selectExit➙OSOptimizedDefault.
3.Dependingontheoperatingsystemtobeinstalled,dooneofthefollowing:
•ToinstalltheWindows8.1(64-bit)operatingsystem,selectEnabled.
•ToinstallanoperatingsystemotherthanWindows8.1(64-bit),selectDisabled.
4.SelectYesinthewindowdisplayedandpressEntertoconfirmyourselection.
5.PressF10tosavechangesandexittheSetupUtilityprogram.See“ExitingtheSetupUtilityprogram”

Toupdate(flash)theBIOSfromadiscontheWindows8.1(64-bit)operatingsystem,dothefollowing:

2.FromtheSetupUtilityprogrammainmenu,selectExit➙OSOptimizedDefault➙Disabled.
3.SelectYesinthewindowdisplayedandpressEntertoconfirmyourselection.

5.Turnoffyourcomputer.
6.Pressthepowerbuttontoturnonthecomputer.ThenrepeatedlypressandreleasetheF12keyuntilthe
startupdevicemenuwindowopens.
7.Fromthestartupdevicemenuwindow,selectthedesiredopticaldriveasthestartupdevice.Then,
insertthediscintothisopticaldriveandpressEnter.Theupdatebegins.
8.Whenpromptedtochangetheserialnumber,itissuggestedthatyoudonotmakethischangeby
pressingN.However,ifyoudowanttochangetheserialnumber,pressY,andthentypeintheserial
numberandpressEnter.
9.Whenpromptedtochangethemachinetypeandmodel,itissuggestedthatyoudonotmakethis
changebypressingN.However,ifyoudowanttochangethemachinetypeandmodel,pressY,and
thentypeinthemachinetypeandmodelandpressEnter.
10.Followtheinstructionsonthescreentocompletetheupdate.Aftertheupdateiscompleted,removethe
discfromtheopticaldrive.
11.RestartyourcomputerandstarttheSetupUtilityprogram.See“StartingtheSetupUtilityprogram”
