5.ClickortapYeswhenyouarepromptedwhetheryouwanttoformatthedevice.Then,followthe
on-screeninstructionstocreaterecoverymedia.
Usingrecoverymedia
Attention:Whenyouuserecoverymediatorestorethecomputertothefactory-defaultsettings,all
yourpersonaldatastoredonthestoragedriveswillbedeleted.Toavoiddataloss,backupallthedata
thatyouwanttokeep.
Torestorethecomputertothefactory-defaultsettingsthroughrecoverymedia,dothefollowing:
1.Connectthebootmediumtothecomputer.
2.Turnonorrestartthecomputer.
3.StarttheSetupUtilityprogram.See“StartingtheSetupUtilityprogram”onpage59.Dependingon
yourcomputermodel,dooneofthefollowing:
•For10D4,10D5,10D6,10D7,10EJ,and10EKmodels:SelectortapExit➙OSOptimizedDefaults
➙DisabledandAdvanced➙OSSelection➙Windwos8.x.

4.PressF10tosaveyoursettingsandrestartthecomputer.
5.Whenyouseethelogoscreen,repeatedlypressandreleasetheF12keyuntilthestartupdevicemenu
windowisdisplayed.
6.SelectortapthedesiredstartupdeviceandpressEnter.Then,followtheinstructionsonthescreento
completetherecoveryprocess.
7.Disconnecttherecoverymediumfromyourcomputer.Then,clickortapRestart.
