Start-Up Procedure

Do
not
start
engine
by
shorting across starter
terminals.
Machine
wil
start
in
gear
and
move
if
normal starting circuitry
is
bypassed
.
This machine
has
two
safety
devices
which
prevent
the
engine
from
starting unless
the
variable speed lever
is
in neutral,
the
steering
whee
is
locked in
the
neutral
position,
and
the
header drive
dutch
is
disengaged. Under
no
circumstances
are
these circuits
to
be
deliberately
rewired
so
that
the
engine
can
be
started with
controls
out
ex
neutral.
Start engine only
from
operator's
seat
with
controls in neutral. NEVER start engine while
standing
on
ground. Machine wil start
in
gear
and
move
if
normal starting circuitry is
bypassed.
Before starting
engine
,
be
sure
there
is
plenty
ex
ventilation
to
avoid
asphyxiation.
IMPORTANT:
Do
not
t
ow
machine to start engine.
Damage
to
hydrostatic drives will result.
ADJUSTING CONTROLS
1. Engage park brake
(
A).
2. Disenga
ge
header clutch (B).
3. Move
var
iable speed lever
to
neutral posi
tio
n
(C).
4. Turn steering wheel until
it
locks. Adjust
steeri
ng
wheel tilt
to
desired positi
on
.
5. Move throttle lever
to
start-up position (D)
(approximately 1 / 3 forward).
6. Fasten seat
belt.

machine operation
and condition. Familiarize yourself with the gauges
and
monitor
them carefully
dur
