WHEELS AND TIRES
Tire Inflation
Check the tire pressure daily before operation. Also, look for
cuts and damage.
Table 8-3
Wheel Nut Torque
Tightening order of the studs is shown in Figure 8-143.
Check the tightness of the lug nuts after every 50 hours of
operation.
Proper wheel nut torque for both axles is 306 Nm (225 lb-ft).
WARNING
Flying Objects Hazard!
Never try to disassemble the wheel until all air is released
from the tire. The tire retaining ring and rim of the wheel
can come off with explosive force and can cause serious
injury or death. Be extremely careful when working with
them. Always use a tire and rim cage guard when inflating
tires.
