4. MACHINE STARTING INSTRUCTIONS
4.1. Commissioning
Checks to be performed before commissioning;
• Check drawbar bolts and drawbar height.
• Check the length of PTO shaft.
• Inspect the machine and check if there are any damaged and excessively worn parts.
• Do not operate without covers and guards. Replace lost or damaged covers and
guards.
• Replace erased, torn, illegible safety labels and decimals.
• Pay attention to maintenance and lubrication intervals.
• Check the condition of materials to be baled.
• Ensure necessary lighting and reflectors are used to warn other drivers when
transporting baler on road. See local laws and regulations.
Daily Check List
• Make sure that drawbar is installed and positioned properly.
• Check hydraulic equipment connections and electrical connections with the tractor.
Check the entire hydraulic system against any leaks and cracks.
• Check proper operation of all safety lights and operating lights (if any).
• Perform a general visual and manual check for connection elements such as bolts,
nuts, pins, etc..
• Check tire pressure during coolest time of the day. Refer to Technical Specifications
sections for correct pressure values.
• Check presence of crop pieces and debris inside the baling chamber where
transmission is connected as well as on the left side of the baler. Clean, if present.
• Lubricate the baler. Ensure that all lubricating elements are in place and lubrication is
performed correctly. Refer to Lubrication and Maintenance section for lubrication
elements.
• Check tension of all drive chains. Ensure that they are tensioned properly.
• Check shear bolts and supports.
• Make sure that twine cups are in place.
• Check count of twines in twine container boxes.
• Check the twines for proper threading.
• Make sure that twines are not knotted, jammed or tangled on a bolt.
• Check twine tension.
• Make sure that twine is securely fitted to knotting group twine disk.
• Ensure that all guards are in place.
Described general safety measures apply to all maintenance,
collection, repair and connection works:
• Bring the machine to full stop.
• Turn off the engine
• Remove ignition key
• Protect the tractor and baler against risk of rolling. If the
road is inclined, place wheel chocks in front of the
wheels in direction of inclination.
