5. MACHINE MAINTENANCE, REPAIR AND SET-UP GUIDE
5.1. Bale Form, Weight and Size Settings
Bale density and weight is set up via resistance pressure applied on the material
passing through the bale chamber.
Adjust hay resistance (claw) plates (1) inwards using adjustment bolts (a) and (b) for
bale density of dry, quality, flexible weed or short crops. (Figure 1)
Bale resistance plates (1) apply pressure on the sides of bale and reduces bottom and
top pressure values applied by bale density control rails. Adding pressure to the sides and
front part of the bale allows forming heavy bales without breaking twine.
Loosen lock nut to adjust hay resistance plates. Tighten bolts equally and in consistent
manner for each plate to adjust length. Adjust all doors in the same way.
Stop the tractor and take the ignition key with you. Make sure that all moving
parts come to full stop before adjusting hay resistance plates.
Figure 1
Additionally, install extra hay resistance plate parts (2) located at the inner end of tail
wall plates. Reduce spring tension on density control rails and remove extra hay
resistance plate parts (2) when baling highly moist corps. (Figure 2)
