3.7.5. Safety During Maintenance
1. Ensure that motor and power are off before performing any repair, maintenance or
cleaning work!
-Remove ignition key. Remove engine key from ignition and keep it with you!
2. Check proper seating of bolts and belts regularly, tighten if necessary!
3. Take appropriate measures against falling when performing maintenance on a tool at
height!
4. Always use appropriate gloves and tools when replacing tools with sharp edges!
5. Ensure disposal of oils and filters according to regulations!
6. Always disconnect power supply before working on electrical systems!
7. Check protective equipment and guards regularly, and replace them in timely manner
if worn!
8. Remove alternator and battery cables when performing electrical welding on tractor
and attachments!
9. Replaced parts must meet technical requirements set forth by the manufacturer. This
is only possible with genuine Maschio Fienagione spare parts.
3.8. Unauthorized Modification and Production of Replaced Parts
Any modifications on the machine must be permitted by the manufacturer. Genuine
spare parts and attachment units supplied by the manufacturer ensures a safe use.
3.9. Unauthorized Operations
Operational safety of the machine is only valid when it is used in accordance with the
intended use described in General Information section of the manual. Never exceed the limits
specified in information tables.
3.10. Introduction to Machine
Maschio Fienagione baler is equipped with all necessary safety devices. However, it is
impossible to eliminate all potential hazards as the guards and equipment may encumber
machine functions and capabilities.
