7. DIAGNOSTIC AND TROUBLESHOOTING
Some of the possible problems that may occur on PITAGORA INLINE Baler and their
solutions are given in the following table.
7.1. PTO Shaft Area
PTO shaft area problems and solutions are given in Table 7.1.1.

PROBLEM CAUSES SOLUTION
1 ) Universal Joint Failure
1.1 ) Overload.

Tractor PTO shaft
revolution is too high when
activating PTO clutch,
resulting in shock load.

Short turn are
causing joints to “drop
down”
1.4)
PTO shaft is hitting
against transmission shaft
when tractor wheels are
turning.
1.5)
Wrong drawbar
length, height or alignment.
1.6)
Power transmission
joint or bearing position is
wrong.
1.7 ) Insufficient lubrication.

Check PTO shaft
safety clutch. Adjust
according to specifications
in this operating and
maintenance manual.
1.2) Activate w

tractor PTO shaft is in idle.

Deactivate PTO
shaft during short turns.
1.4) Increase turning span.

Adjust drawbar and
PTO shaft positions.

3 ) Vibrations Particularly
During Turns.

Worn out components.
3.1) Replace the necessary parts.

Adjust drawbar according
to correct specifications.
