aheadtoastop,iftheamountoftimethatthevehicle
isinastoppedconditionislessthanapproximately3
secondsyourvehiclemayautomaticallypullawayto
followthevehicleahead,ifthestoppedtimeexceeds3
secondsyourcarwillnotautomaticallypullaway,you
willreceiveapromptintheinstrumentpackmessage
centrerequestingyoutore-activatetheadaptive
cruisecontrolusingthemethoddisplayed.
Afterfollowingthevehicleaheadtoa
stop,thedrivermustobserveanylocal
trafclawsandensurethatthereareno
obstaclesorothertrafcparticipants,
suchaspedestrians,directlyinfrontof
thevehiclebeforeallowingittopullaway
andbegintofollowthevehicleahead
again.
Whilstusingthecarfollowingcruise
functionitisstronglyrecommendedthat
thedriverdoesnottouchtheaccelerator
pedal.Anyactivationoftheaccelerator
willnotallowthesystemtoautomatically
applythebrakesshouldthisbenecessary.
DONOTexitthevehiclewhentheACC
carfollowingcruisefunctionhasstopped,
oriskeepingthecarstationary.Before
exitingthecartheshiftcontrollever
shouldbeintheParkposition,theparking
brakeappliedandthepowerswitchin
theOFFposition.
IftheACCsystemhasalreadystoppedthe
vehicle,andtheACCfunctionisdisabled,
turnedofforcancelled,thevehiclewill
nolongerstaystill,itmaymoveforward
orslipbackward.Whenthevehicleis
stoppedandkeptstillbytheACCsystem,
besuretobereadytoapplythebrakes
manually.
