thebrakesystemwillautomaticallyintervenetodecelerate
thevehicle,soastoavoidcollisionaccidentsormitigate
damagefromcollisionaccidents.Ifthevehicleisbrakedand
stoppedunderAEBorAEBPcontrol,itwillkeepstationary
forapprox.2s,thenthecontrolofthevehiclewillbe
handedovertothedriver.
Note:Whenthevehiclespeedisbetween2and
52mph,stationarytargetscanbedetected.Whenthe
vehiclespeedisbetween2and93mph,movingtargets
canbedetected.Whenthevehiclespeedisbetween
2and39mph,pedestrianscanbedetected.
IMPORT ANT
Forstationarytargets,collisionscannotbe
completelyavoidedwhenthevehiclespeedis
greaterthan27mph.
Formovingtargets,collisionscannotbecompletely
avoidedwhentherelativespeedisgreaterthan
27mph.
Theautomaticemergencybrakingsystemandautomatic
emergencybrakingsystemforpedestrianswillonlybe
activatedifthefollowingconditionsaremet:
Thedynamicstabilitycontrolsystem(SCS)andtraction
controlsystem(TCS)arefault-freeandON.
ThevehicleisinDorN.
Theairbagsarenotdeployed.
Note:Insomecases,thedrivermaynothave
anticipatedanybrakinginterventionanddoesnot
wanttoapplythebrakeswhilsttheautomatic
emergencybrakingsystemandautomaticemergency
brakingsystemforpedestriansarebrakingheavily,
thedrivercantemporarilycancelthisoperationby
heavilypressingtheacceleratorpedalafterensuring
thatitissafetodoso.
Automaticemergencybrakingsystemand
automaticemergencybrakingsystemfor
pedestrianssetting
TheoperatinginterfacefortheAEB/AEBPsystemis
locatedintheinfotainmentdisplay.Enterthevehicle
