Fromtimetotime,butparticularlyduringwintermonths
whensalthasbeenusedontheroads,useahosetowash
theundersideofthecar .Flushawayaccumulationsofmud
andthoroughlycleanthoseareaswheredebriscaneasily
collect(wheelarchesandpanelseams,forexample).
IMPORT ANT
•Avoidcleaningthevehicleindirectsunlight.
•Whencleaningthevehicleinwinteravoidspraying
waterdirectlyontodoorlocksandpanelgapsdue
toriskoficing.
•Donotuseroughspongesorclothtocleanthecar ,
thiswilldamagethepaintworknish.
•Whencleaningtheheadlampsdonotuseadrycloth
orsponge,useonlywarmsoapywater.
CleaningwithHighPressureCleaner
Alwaysreadthemanufacturersoperatinginstructions.
Whenusinghighpressurewashers,alwaysensurethereis
adequatedistancebetweenthespraynozzleandanysoft
materials,decalsorrubberseals.
Note:DONOTdirectthepressurewashernozzle
directlytowardthehighvoltagechargingpointsor
highvoltagebatteryconnectionsontheundersideof
thevehicle.

BodyProtection
Afterwashing,examinethepaintworkfordamage.Ifthe
damagehasrevealedbaremetal,useacoloredprimerrst,
thenapplythecorrectcolourbasecoatandnishoffwith
alacquerpencil,ifappropriate.Carryoutthistreatment
afterwashingbutbeforepolishingorwaxing.More
extensivedamagetopaintorbodyworkmustberepaired
inaccordancewiththemanufacturer’srecommendations.
