4.2.11 Establishing a power connection
- Before commissioning, it must be ensured that the power cord is properly connected.
In particular, the protective ground conductor must be connected to the housing of
the power supply unit.
Connect all equipment to the equipotential bonding via the equipotential bonding
terminals on the devices. The installation must be carried out by an appropriately
trained and qualied specialist in line with the applicable regulations and the
standards of technology.
- Only commission the system once it has been ensured that the atmosphere is not
potentially explosive. Should any deviations caused by transport damage become
evident during commissioning, disconnect the system from the power supply and
inform the Minebea Intec Service Center (no display, no backlighting despite weight
value display, no reproducibility of the weight value, no standstill in display, etc.).
- Only use original power supply units:
- YPS08-Z.. (Use outside the potentially explosive atmosphere)
- YPS08-Y.. (Use inside the potentially explosive atmosphere)
- When operating the scale in potentially explosive atmospheres:
- All applicable standards and specications for the installation of equipment in
potentially explosive atmopheres must be complied with.
- Installation of the equipment in zones 1 and 21 should be carried out and properly
checked by a specialist.
