NOTICE
Improper cleaning can cause signicant damage to property.
No moisture should be allowed to enter the indicator.
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents (solvents or similar).
Do not spray the device with water or clean it using compressed air.
The indicators comply with the guidelines of the EHEDG (European Hygienic Equipment
Design Group) regarding appropriate measures for preventing contamination. They are
therefore easy to clean and disinfect.
For use in the food industry, use a cleaning agent suitable for that particular working
environment.
9.3.2 Cleaning stainless steel surfaces
- Only use commercially available household cleaners that are suitable for stainless
steel.
- Only use solvents for cleaning stainless steel parts.
9.4 Safety check
Safe operation of the device is no longer guaranteed:
- If the device or the power cord display visible damage.
- If the power supply unit installed in the indicator no longer works.
- If the device has been stored for a prolonged period in unfavorable conditions
(e.g.extreme humidity).
In these cases:
. Clean the indicator with a cloth lightly moistened with a soap solution.
. Wipe down the indicator with a soft, dry cloth after cleaning.
. All stainless steel parts must be cleaned at regular intervals: Wipe stainless steel
surfaces with a moist cloth and a cleaning agent, if necessary, then thoroughly
remove all residues.
. Allow the device to dry. Care oil can be applied as an additional protective measure.
. Disconnect the device from the power supply (pull the plug out of the socket) and
secure against further use.
. Inform Minebea Intec customer service.
