5 Getting started
5.1 Switching on the device
Whenever it is switched on, the device performs a self-test. This will display all display
segments for a few seconds.
The scale starts in measurement mode. You have to open the menu mode in order to
apply settings (see Chapter 5.3).
5.2 Warm-up time
To provide accurate results, the device requires a warm-up time of at least 30 minutes
after connection to the mains. Only then will the device have reached the necessary
operating temperature.
Using a veried device in legal metrology
Allow a warm-up time of at least 24 hours after connection to the mains.
5.3 Menu mode
5.3.1 Switch to the menu
The individual basic settings are made in the menu mode by selecting the desired
parameters.

If it is already switched on: briey switch o and then back on again.
To switch on the scale, press the key .
The scale is started in the status in which it was last switched o.
Then the display for the measurement mode appears.
