Pallet rack
When MiR500 docks to a pallet rack, personnel detection means are temporarily muted.
This could cause a dangerous situation if a person steps in front of the robot and the pallet
rack.
Issue: MiR500 mutes the personnel detection means temporarily when docking to a pallet
rack. This could cause a dangerous situation.
Solution: Follow the mounting guidelines and mark the area around the pallet rack with tape
or similar as an operating hazard zone see Operating hazard zones. Inform users of or near
the robot of the safety issues regarding the pallet rack so they can take proper precautions.
Glass
Some types of glass cannot be detected by the safety laser scanners.
Issue: MiR500 will not stop before driving into a glass window, door, or other glass objects.
