• Protection
The protection function is used to restrict access to menus of SMT Application with user authority
and password. This function is used to define authority for user registration or modification and to
permit or deny access to each menu of Application. This function is available only for the
administrator at customer site and is disabled by default.
The following message window appears when Protection is set first after SMT software
installation.
When the Ok button is pressed, a default file to save the Password Protection information is
automatically created in the Windows directory. Since this function is permitted only for the
administrator, a window prompting to enter user ID and password will appear. The following window
appears when user ID and password are entered.
