Electrical dangers
There is a risk of electric shock if the power supply is inappropriate.
Before starting the product for the first time, check that the grounding is functional.
To avoid electric shocks, always check that the product is grounded. The grounding must be checked
even when connecting to the two-wire system power line with an adapter. This increases noise
resistance.
Coming into contact with energized parts or parts with damaged insulation may lead to death or
serious injury.
Do not remove the cover or touch areas with an electric-shock label while the main body of the
measuring instrument is powered.
Do not clean the product with a high-pressure washer.
Electrical work on the product must be performed by a licensed technician.
If a connected cable is damaged, immediately turn off the power. For repairs, contact your dealer
or Mitutoyo.
Use only the power cable that is supplied with this product.
Do not allow water to enter the internal parts of the product during cleaning.
Mechanical dangers
Moving parts
Do not apply excessive loads to the product. The product may be damaged.
There is a risk of injury due to sharp edges such as handles that adjust the X and Z axis positions
and cover.
If you hold the up / down handle with the measuring main unit removed, a strong force will be applied
upwards, and there is a risk of injury.
