Establishing a GSM Data Connection (MC9596-K and MC959B-K)
5. Ensure a SIM card is installed in the MC9500-K.
6. Configure a GPRS data connection. See MC9500-K Series Mobile Computer Integrator Guide.
7. Tap the connectivity icon , or at the top of the screen.

8. Tap Settings.
9. Tap Connections icon.
10. Tap Managing existing connections.
11. Tap and hold on the data connection until a menu appears.
NOTE Refer to the MC9500-K Series Mobile Computer Integrator Guide for information on configuring a data
connection.
On MC959B-K configurations, ensure that the correct carrier is configured appropriately on the Broadband
Settings window. See Switching Carrier Networks on page 5-31 for procedures for switching carriers. If an
AT&T SIM card is installed, ensure that ATT is selected on the Carrier Selection tab. All other GSM/UMTS
SIM cards should use Generic UMTS.
NOTE On devices with Windows Mobile 6.5.3, tap the Status Bar and then tap the Connectivity icon to display the
Connectivity dialog box.
