switch (Q6590) to power the fan, to attempt to lower the PA temperature. This is entirely HW
controlled and does not require any SW action to occur. The SW control is only required for periodic
monitoring of fan functionality. During these diagnostic tests, SW will force the fan on for a short
period so that the fan current can be calculated in order to determine if the current is high or low
which would indicate if the fan is failing or has already failed. The fan current is determined by
measuring a voltage drop across a fixed series resistance located in the fan supply line (R6595/
R6596).
