Chapter 3 Featured Functions
This chapter explains how to access TN-5500’s various configuration, monitoring, and
administration functions. These functions can be accessed by serial, Telnet, or web console. The
serial console can be used if you do not know TN-5500’s IP address and requires that you connect
the TN-5500 to a PC COM port. The Telnet and web consoles can be opened over an Ethernet
LAN or the Internet.
The web console is the most user-friendly way to configure TN-5500. In this chapter, we use the
web console interface to introduce the functions. There are only a few differences between the web
console, serial console, and Telnet console.
