Configuring GMRP
GMRP is a MAC-based multicast management protocol, whereas IGMP is IP-based. GMRP
provides a mechanism that allows bridges and end stations to register or un-register Group
membership information dynamically.
GMRP enable
Setting Description Factory Default
Enable/Disable This enables or disables the GMRP function for the port
listed in the Port column
Disable
GMRP Table
The TN-5500 displays the current active GMRP groups that were detected
Setting Description
Fixed Ports This multicast address is defined by static multicast.
Learned Ports This multicast address is learned by GMRP.
