Relays specified are connected in series to effect hardware redundancy. The relays 1–8 are se-
lected by CAN A (MCP A), the relays 9–16 by CAN B (MCP B).

MAO Module
The MAO module is not made with redundancy, therefore retrofitting of MAO modules is not nec-
essary.
As standard, it is supplied configured via solder jumpers for the CAN A.
Logic extension MLE10 (with SIL-3 Approvals)
This module can be inserted into redundant systems to implement special logic functions, switch-
ing delays, etc. for the 40 switching outputs of a MGO module. Logic extension MLE10 is connect-
ed between MGO and MRC / MGT. It is connected with the 40-pole ribbon cable.
This module is checked for safety-related applications up to and including SIL3.
